Urban Ring Project: Greater Boston Transport

The Massachusetts Executive Office of Transportation (EOT) held public meetings in December 2006 to discuss Phase 2 of the Urban Ring Project, a proposed bus rapid transit line that would serve a circumferential "ring" passing through Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Medford and Somerville. The presentation will cover the project background, status of the planning process and preliminary proposals for route alternatives.

Getting Around Slowing You Down? (Transport in AB)

During Winter 2005/Spring 2006, a study was conducted to identify key transportation issues and opportunities in Allston Brighton. It was funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority to the Brighton Allston Improvement Association and the Allston Brighton CDC. Its purpose was to identify transportation-related issues and opportunities that would provide a case to the City for a comprehensive transportation study of the entire Allston Brighton neighborhood.

It was conducted by Howard/Stein-Hudson Associates and overseen by a coalition of local organizations including the Brighton Allston Improvement Association, Allston Village Main Streets, Allston Brighton CDC, and Hobart Park Neighborhood Association.
